The Skottsberg Stainless Steel wok pan is appreciated for a number of special features. This frying pan has a special tri-ply bottom, which means that the bottom of the pan is composed of 3 layers; 18/10 stainless steel, aluminum and magnetic stainless steel. Stainless cookware is used because of its durability and ease of maintenance and cleaning of the pan. The aluminum core, lined with stainless steel, ensures that you cook your ingredients evenly. The aluminum layer extends into the sides of the pan, ensuring that the pan heats up to the top of the rim, evenly and quickly. The risk of sticking is greatly reduced and the pans are therefore very energy efficient. Thanks to the magnetic stainless steel exterior, the wok is suitable for induction and perfect for use on all other heating sources. How do you use the wok pan?
To prevent food from sticking to the bottom, it is important to go through the following steps. Before you wok/ stir-fry, remove the ingredients from the refrigerator so that they can already reach room temperature. Place the wok pan on the heat source. Let the pan slowly come to temperature over low heat and after a minute, drop some water droplets into the pan. When the water droplets "dance" through the pan, the wok is at the right temperature. Do not add oil or butter until the pan is well heated.

Now turn down the stove by about 30%. The wok pan now has enough heat and this will prevent you from burning the oil or butter and your ingredients. Let the butter melt until it no longer foams or until the oil has warmed up. Pat the food to be prepared dry as much as possible with kitchen roll. Let the ingredients that do stick slightly to the bottom bake gently, without trying to loosen them from the bottom. If necessary, turn down the stove a little and wait quietly for the food to loosen from the bottom.

Maintaining and cleaning your stainless steel pan
After cooking, let the pan cool. Be sure not to rinse the hot pan directly under or in cold water. This causes thermal shock, which can warp the pan. When the pan has cooled sufficiently clean it with warm water and a dishwashing brush or scratch-free scouring pad. If leftover food is still stuck to the pan, start by soaking the pan in warm water with dish soap for a few hours. Pour the water out of the pan and scrub vigorously. You can also clean this pan in the dishwasher, but for longevity, hand washing is definitely recommended. Make sure the pan is thoroughly dry when you store it.
