Porcelain is a form of ceramic composed of kaolin, quartz and feldspar and is fired at a high temperature of 1280 to 1380°C. Porcelain is therefore hard, translucent and non-porous. Porcelain is odorless, tasteless and does not discolor. In addition, porcelain is heat resistant up to a temperature of 250 to 300°C. After use, porcelain can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
