Overnight oats are ideal when you want to start the day calmly and well prepared. Soaking them overnight in milk or yogurt in the refrigerator creates a creamy breakfast that is both fresh and filling. With chia seeds, blueberries, and nuts, this recipe strikes a nice balance between soft, crunchy, and slightly sweet, perfect for serving straight from the refrigerator.
Ingredients (per serving)
- 80 g oatmeal
- 250 ml milk or plant-based milk
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 100 g blueberries
- 2 tablespoons mixed nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup to taste
Supplies
- Preserving jar
- Spoon
- Cutting board and knife
- Glasses or bowls

Preparation
- Put the oatmeal, milk, and chia seeds in a preserving jar and stir well.
- Add the honey or maple syrup and mix again so that the flavors are evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl or close the jar and place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, but preferably overnight.
- The next morning, remove the overnight oats from the refrigerator and stir the mixture.
- Spread the blueberries and chopped nuts over the oats.
- Serve immediately or take it with you as an easy breakfast on the go.
Alternate the blueberries with other fruits or add extra nuts for more crunch. By letting the oats soak gently, they become soft and creamy without losing their texture.
