Muffins
- Ready-made muffins or, for those who want to bake their own:
- 250 gr flour
- 150 gr sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- Grater of ½ orange
- 125 gr melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
- 200 gr butter (at room temperature)
- 300 gr powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce (ready-made or homemade)
- Pecans
Supplies
- Mixing bowl

- Muffin pan with papers (if baking yourself)
- Spoon or ice cream scoop
- Piping bag with star-shaped nozzle
Preparation
- Baking your own muffins? Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a muffin tin with paper liners. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, vanilla and melted butter. Add this to the dry ingredients and stir briefly to form an airy batter (do not stir too smoothly).
- Fill the muffin tins to ⅔ and bake the muffins for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Ready-made? Skip the steps above and immediately grab your muffins to festively decorate them.
- Meanwhile, beat the butter until creamy and add the powdered sugar little by little. Mix in milk and vanilla for an airy buttercream.
- Pipe a tuft of buttercream on each muffin, drizzle some caramel sauce on top and top with a pecan pie.
